The Fixed Fastener Timber Batten Screws have as a course tapping thread and a special long sharp fluted point to capture chips in timber. These batten screws are used widely within the building trade as it is a heavy duty screw. It is often used in external applications such as retaining walls and decking thanks to its superior corrosion resistance. The bugle head has nibs which help to remove the timber particles when countersinking.
